Joe Catrambone - President's Report

SPRING HAS SPRUNG!

Joe Catrambone, President/CEO
Stuart/Martin County Chamber of Commerce

Can’t believe it, but here we are in Spring 2026!! My favorite time of year. Summer is just around the corner. Our Home, Hurricane & Orchid Show is behind us, and we are now focused on the 2026 B2B Business Expo scheduled for July 15, 2026 at Indian State College. Please call Amber (772) 287-1088 ext. 107 or amber@stuartmartinchamber.org for additional information.

We wish everyone a Happy Passover and a Happy Easter, as well as a prosperous Spring & Summer! Traditionally and historically the Spring and particularly Summer was time to come up for a breath of air after the “season”. Not too many years ago there was a distinct difference. As of late, not nearly as distinct as it is today. I have a feeling many of our “snowbirds” have become permanent residents of Martin County.

We’ve completed the 6th month of our FY25/26 and are experiencing a slight effect of the predicted “recession”. Unfortunately, we missed our budgeted goals in December, January and February. As a result, we’ve put a temporary hold on all unessential spending. I’m pleased to say that March seemed to show an improvement.

Our special events which include monthly Luncheons, Breakfasts and Business After Hours continue to meet or exceed expectations.  We are enjoying strong attendance at our events.

I realize September is still many months away, however, please make a note, our Annual Gala is scheduled for Friday, September 25, 2026.

Thank you again to our loyal and faithful members for the support you continue to provide us!

Sincerely,

Joseph A. Catrambone

CEO of the Stuart/Martin County Chamber of Commerce
Board Chairman of the Martin Chamber Foundation
